COVID-19 – Common Questions about GMAT Test
Amidst the ongoing Global Corona virus Pandemic Crisis, the GMAC, the Administrative Body of The GMAT Test has decided to close Test Centers and Suspend Tests wherever required. We are sure that most of the Test Takers are confused, and we are going to try to answer the most common questions that aspirants have in their minds:
- Can I reschedule my GMAT Test Date? Do I get charged extra for it?
Yes, you can reschedule your GMAT date. Due to the outbreak, the examination reschedule fees has been waived. You can reschedule to another date and / or location (be mindful of travel restrictions) at no extra charge. You will not be charged any Extra Fee.
- My GMAT Appointment was cancelled, what do I do now?
GMAC has said that registrants whose appointments have been cancelled will be provided a full refund of the fees they had paid. All Test Takers that have been impacted will be notified via e-mail about their Rescheduling or Cancellation. If your appointment has been Cancelled and you paid for your Appointment using a credit card, your Exam Fees will be automatically refunded. Your refund will be processed within 3-5 Days of receiving the cancellation confirmation E-mail.
If your appointment has been cancelled, it will not be automatically rescheduled. You will need to schedule a New Appointment.
- Can I take the GMAT Online from your home?
Hopefully, soon. The GMAC is targeting a release date of mid-April for an online GMAT that you can take from your home. The test will most likely have the same structure, except for the AWA section being absent. The test will also most likely have a lower price point.
We will continue to bring you more updates as things get clearer. Stay safe and keep preparing!
