COVID-19: GRE ALLOWS TEST FROM HOME & GMAT NEXT TO FOLLOW?
It has recently been confirmed that the GRE Test can now be taken at Home to ensure Safety of the Test Takers amidst the ongoing Global Coronavirus Pandemic Crisis. The GRE Test which is owned and administered by Educational Testing Service (ETC) and ETS has announced that aspirants can now take the GRE at Home, Monitored by a Human Proctor Online.
The Test will be identical in Structure and Format of The GRE Test taken at a Test Centre. The Home Test is now available in the United States, Canada, Columbia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain etc.
The test can be taken on a Windows operating system (versions XP/Vista/7/8/10) desktop or laptop computer (not a tablet or mobile device). As of now, the test cannot be taken on a Mac or an iOS device. An internal or external speaker must be used to hear the proctor; headsets and wireless headphones are not allowed. An external microphone that is not a part of headset must be used to communicate with the proctor. A built-in camera in the computer or a separate webcam can be used, which must be able to be moved to show a 360-degree view of the room including your tabletop surface before the test.
